Incidents Related To Suri Nagamma And Cow Lakshmi's First Death Anniversary

Suri Nagamma Recalls the incidents as follows:

On July 18, 1949,Cow Lakshmi's first death anniversary was celebrated.Bhagavan Ramana had already undergone two sugeries, and radium needles had been implanted and bandaged.Bleeding had reduced.At that time, I was away in Vijayawada,for some domestic work.I was writing third and fourth volume of the Letters, and the second volume had been ready for printing and someone had offered to bear the printing cost.

While I was in Vijayawada, my sister in law was staying in my room in Tiruvannamalai and she was going to the Asram daily.Bhagavan, I believe was asking: "When shall Nagamma come?" and was telling: "She will come for Anniversary of Cow's samadhi."

My sister in law wrote me about this and I started to Tiruvannamalai by catching the direct train from Vijayawada to Tiruvannmalai.I could reach Tiruvannamalai only around 7.30 PM on the night of first anniversary celebrations of Cow Lakshmi.My sister in law was telling me immediately on my arrival:

"I went and read Cow Lakshmi story of yours, in the Asram.Bhagavan was telling, "Cow Lakshmi left her body, on the hands of Nagamma!" I became very happy and immediately rushed to the Asram and met Bhagavan.He said: "O! You have come.I was telling that you would come today!"She rushed to Cow Lakshmi's Samadhi and prayed to her with flowers and fruits.

Viswanatha Swami came to me and said:Bhagavan was telling that you would come today.You are like a daughter for Him."

I was feeling very happy and said to him:

Bhagavan'swords never fail.Only His 'thoughts' have dragged me here from Vijayawada!
