Q: Can I see God?
A: If you want to see me as i am, you can see me anytime --- even now. but if you want to see me in jeans you will have to request me and then i may agree. Same way, if you want to see god as he is ... no pleeding is required. But if you want to see him in a particular form you will have to request him. But why would you want to see him in a particular fashion? Only for the satisfaction of the ego ?
Q: Ramakrishna used to speak so much and try to talk to everyone ceaselessly, while Ramana always kept silent. What is the difference?
A: There are two approaches. Madhukar vritthi where in the guru is like a honey bee ... he goes to each flower and sucks the honey out of it. And the other is Ajgar Vritti where in the guru sits like a python waiting for a disciple to come and the moment he comes there, the devotee is totally absorbed.
Q: Is intellectual understanding enough or do we need to practice?
A: With Self... understanding is practicing. if someone is not able to practice, it means he has not understood it.
Q: I am Awareness, then how to live it up?
A: Like an actor who plays various roles but never forgets that he is the one playing these roles. one should never confuse oneself for the roles one plays in life.
Q: But we tend to forget.
A: That shall go with practice. With practice it shall become natural. Before every action, one needs to be conscious of the "I" thought that is driving the action. who is it that is doing this?
