Mr. V. Ananthachari took immense pains in the printing of Telugu,Sri Ramana Gita. When his services were appreciatively referred to in the Preface of the proposed book, he pleaded hard with Bhagavan Ramana that his name should not be mentioned.
Bhagavan Ramana told him: "Why do you worry? To ask for omission of your name is as much egoism as to desire its inclusion. So let it be. After all,who knows who is Ananthachari?"

Once Viswanatha Swami's brother, who was a Gandhian came to the Asramam. It was lunch time. Despite being a brahmin, this gentleman in order to show, that he was a true Gandhian wanted to sit in the non-brahmin's row.Bhagavan Ramana said: To show yourself as above casteism and to deliberately sit in non brahmins row is also egoism as it is egoism to sit in brahmin's row.If you want, you can sit beside me, (perpendicular to both the rows, facing all).Viswanatha Swami's brother quietly shifted to brahmin's row!
